It's All Coming Back!!

It’s All Coming Back!!!

Have you seen the Extra Gum commercial that ran in the UK! We think it’s hilarious! When I first saw it on TikTok, I just started laughing so hard and thought to myself - this is brilliant! Needless to say, this past year-plus for everyone has been extremely challenging. And, we are all so grateful to be coming back!!

Warmer Temperatures

It seems like it almost happened overnight going from cooler temperatures to today just being downright HOT! With that said, we wanted to provide a few updates regarding our Pet Services. Please keep in mind we will always do what is best for our furry companions. This may mean that we need to stop and take more rest breaks, water breaks, or even at times trim the walk shorter.

Our team has bottles of water in their cars that we use for water breaks on our Dog Adventures. Additionally, we’ll be incorporating more swimming adventures in the swimming holes around DC that we have available to us. We will do our best to wipe down your pup before returning home. If you would like to have a towel out available for us to use, that may also be helpful. When we do a swimming adventure, we usually try to dip in the water first and then do a hike to allow for the appropriate time to dry off.

Did you know that using a paw wax can be super helpful to your dogs? One of our favorites is by Natural Dog Company. They have a duo combo that we love - both a Paw Soother and PawTection. We highly recommend both of these. They go on super easy on your pup’s paw pads and helps to moisturize and protect them. Think of the PawTection being a thin layer to protect your dog’s paw pads from hot pavement and asphalt!

They Are Coming

Every seventeen years or so, we enjoy the most interesting phenomenon in the DC and Northeastern parts of the United States. What are they? Cicadas! Specifically, the Brood X. I remember in 2004 thinking what in the world have I entered. They were everywhere! While somewhat creepy, crawly, and strange - we have been told they are safe and do not harm pets. Though, we don’t want to encourage any cicada consumption as they could cause a tummy ache.

Scheduling and App Updates

Time To Pet, our software provider, has apprised us to a major update that will be coming in the next few weeks. From a client interface, you will see some changes to the app and portal. As we learn more, we will also keep you up to date!

As we have experienced an uptick in service requests, we would like to ask for your help in scheduling. Our services are built around specific staffing schedules, logistics, as well as consideration for pet physical fitness levels and personalities. We understand that last-minute situations do occur and will always do our best to accommodate any and all requests. Going forward, we will be returning to a $10 surcharge being added to any requests under 24 hours. Please keep in mind requests are also subject to availability. We are diligently working to staff up again and ensure we are always able to provide the level of care you have come to expect.

Additionally, please send all scheduling requests in the TTP app. Our scheduling team handles requests during the hours of 10 am to 5 pm - Monday to Friday. Thank you for your help!

Access To Homes

There has been a marked increase in the number of people returning to the office. At your convenience, please review your profiles - both yours and your pet’s profiles to ensure all information is up to date for our team. Thank you!
